Rob Seitz joined Clarient, Inc, in December 2009 when Clarient acquired Applied Genomics, Inc. (AGI). Previously he served as Chief Executive Officer from 2000 to 2009 and was a co-founder of AGI. As CEO, Mr. Seitz was responsible for executing AGI's overall business strategy, including fundraising and investor relations, establishing and managing collaborations, and product development. From 2008 to 2009, he managed and executed AGI's exit strategy leading to the merger with Clarient.
In 1992, Mr. Seitz founded the antibody department at Research Genetics and served as its director from until the founding of AGI in 2000. Mr. Seitz has extensive expertise in creating and marketing an antibody business and related services. As director of the antibody department, he managed numerous collaborations with both academic and pharmaceutical development teams. Mr. Seitz has a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of South Alabama and a M. Div. degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Rob Seitz lives in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife and three children.
