BRAF – If KRAS is non-mutated, BRAF is now added to the guideline as an option. Patients with a known V600E mutation are unlikely to respond to anti-EGFR therapy. Optional BRAF testing was also added to the rectal cancer guidelines. Learn more about

Patients harboring both KRAS and BRAF mutations are unlikely to respond to anti-EGFR therapies.

Mismatch Repair (MMR) testing should be considered for all patients ≤ 50 years of age. MMR testing is suggested for 5FU therapy. MSI-H patients may have a good prognosis and do not benefit from 5FU therapy.
