KRAS Mutation

KRAS mutations are biomarkers of non-response to either anti-EGFR therapies and detected in approximately 30-45% of colorectal cancers. KRAS mutations have been shown in a number of Phase III studies as a highly predictive factor of non-response to therapy with Erbitux® (cetuximab) or Vectibix® (panitumumab) in combination with chemotherapy, as well as in monotherapy. Clinical indications include colon, lung, pancreas, ovary, cervix, breast, endometrium, biliary tract and liver.
